I didn't mention this the first time it came up but generational slavery has to be one of the more chilling concepts I've ever come across....

I spent a lot of time thinking about how Orion structured their slave trading. I really really wish Trek had gone into it more.

I love how everyone has a role to play and how vital they all are to this, pardon the pun, enterprise. You make them pull together just like in canon, and through it all, give us interesting and multi-dimensional OCs too. Do wonders never cease?

Mir's scales glow slightly. "Thank you, sir."

Haha, someone actually glowing at praise. Awesome.

This chapter kicks ass. I love how you write Mitchell - his voice and overfall characterization are perfect, especially the subtle changes in his expression.

I did not attempt to think ahead and discover what the plan for war was, but the idea and the explanation is chilling. I could almost hear the music in the background. Fantastic, fantastic stuff.

And the competent crew with their plan!

Also, the side-story of Jim and Uhura on the holo-tech planet? That one needs writing!

Possibly Would you recognize it? - missing period after "Possibly."

If they're not Starfleet, you'll lose them to people who can actually carry on a relationship that isn't' restricted to two week furloughs - "isn't."

"Yes, Lieutenant." Turning back around, Spock sees Chekov making an unpleasant face at Jackson back. - Jackson's.

T'Prina is badass!

"He'll want to talk to you. I told him that no senior officer is permitted to leave the ship until we've satisfied ourselves that the threat has been nullified. Which has the benefit of being true as well; you instituted that policy with Captain Kirk's approval. As Acting First Officer, I'm reinforcing it."
"That was to protect Captain Kirk--"
"And at this time, you are captain of this ship and require the same protection, especially now," Uhura says flatly. - Uhura is also badass!

Geh, war-mongering. *winces*
