Oh wow.

No, really, I'm speechless. There aren't a lot of stories that make me stop and rewind and read over certain spots again, just to delay the inevitable moment of No More Story.

The dialogue was perfect--funny in just the right places (I should have known you'd accept nothing less than all my kingdom. It's a wonder I didn't think of it before) and serious in all the right places ("And now you don't trust me?" and the whole concept of Arthur-as-Camelot, Arthur-as-the-land gave me goosepimples. It was simply, outstandingly good.

And you have BROKEN ME, because I spotted AT LEAST four places were a "verily" would not have gone amiss. Forsooth!

I want to frame this story, I want to see it filmed. I actually could SEE it happening before my eyes, at one point, with that blinding flash of magic, and then cut to Arthur sitting there in his breeches and Merlin flat on his face. More goosepimples.

This was amazing. The tone and the hotness and Arthur, oh, Arthur. *flailage* With the land and of course it loves him, of course that's why it suffers through Uther's reign, because Arthur's birth is as much a gift for the land as it was for Uther.
