The Yard was after I was mainling Stephen King and a story taht mentioned a yard that was bigger from the inside than the outside. I thought it would be fun to have them slip into an alternate universe, so--er, there it went.
After Part 1, Lex is taken to Kal-El, where he finds out he's actually a traitor to the human race, that he was sent to the rebellion to destroy them. He caused the explosion that killed all the rebel leaders. Clark, otoh, is with Pete's mom, caring for her and living in Metropolis under a faked ID. Lex shows up a lot on TV, touted as the person who ended the rebellion. Etc etc etc. Kal and Lex have been lovers for a while and Kal knows this Lex isn't his, but thinks he can work with this one with the right kinds of pressures. Eventaully, Lex finds a way to sabotage the control that the Kryptonians have and restarts the rebellion himself with Clark's assistance. Clark later kills Kal. They work together to lead the rebellion. Near the time of their final victory, years later, they accidentally stumble back into the yard and get transported back, to the same time and place and age that they left.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that even though your stories often break my heart, I'm a huge fan. I do hope that you'll be writing the rest of Part II of The Yard. It's a great story. I was hooked right away and finished Part I in one sitting. Anyway, I'm rambling I really just wanted to know if you'll be writing more for this story and to say that if yes, that you update soon. -- Elle
