Ooh, I like this, moving from Rodney's terror to his meeting with the others and picking up the pack mentality. And the ending was perfect, not expected since it's a Stargate story, and better because of that.

This is so, so fucked up and fabulous. Perfect mesh of animal instinct and human cunning. Also I keep thinking about what happens when (and I think it's probably when, not if) Atlantis brings them home - maybe drugged, certainly struggling. I'm thinking about the recovery, and the rage, horror and anger and guilt and resentment all twisted around while they try to go back to some broken semblance of normalcy.

God, yeah. This is the good stuff.
