To fulfill my New Year's Resolution. I said, I'd be more fannishly aware, fannishly active, fannishly participatory, and you know, *useful* to the community. So I host a challenge! Yes, that was my brilliant *one in the morning* idea.

I'd have made it an exchange challenge, like the feedback exchange challenge, so as to--ward off *slacking*. You are just way more optimistic about people's disinclination to *slack* than I am, apparently!

But this is very pretty and I say, bang-up job! *shiny gold stars you*

I'll be doing rageprufrock's He's Having His Baby. Finally. After a million years. *lays claim!*

No! YOU? THAT STORY? *SHOCKING*.

Hmm. I should make a list of called stories. I shall do that now.

I know! I'm like--20 pages into it and then I tried to find some weird convo we had to insert it in there and completely got sidetracked. I know that is shocking TOO.

And oh my god, look at you, making lists. ♥

I'm actually really glad it isn't an exchange, because I don't really have anything for anyone else to do commentary on, but I definitely want to do some commentaries myself.

*grins* I know, that's what she was thinking. I'm just jaded about people not doing things unless they feel like they'd be letting someone down by not doing their half. It's a good set-up though; just my--own experience that tends to think reciprocity sometimes is a good way to get people to actually follow through. :D

Conversely, I never would have signed up at all if it was an exchange, simply because there was the chance of letting someone else down.

Well, the challenge is a great thing because it promotes the idea of the whole endeavor, but also--there never was anything *preventing* people from doing this in the first place; the lists of people putting their stories up were already in existence.

Oh, I know... I just. I wouldn't have? If it wasn't a thing other people were doing? I don't know; it feels better somehow, more justified, being part of a pack of people doing the commentaries, as opposed to just randomly spitting one out for someone who's not expecting it, if that makes sense.

See, I'm totally the opposite. *I'm* happy this isn't an exchange because I can get enormous long commentaries on my fic and *I* don't have to lift a finger. Yay for laziness!
