Kevin and I have decided...to...move...in together.
I am thriled! :)
We had a really good talk the other night about things and he brought it up, "Do you think we are ready? Is Lane ready for me?" and I asked him, "well, are you ready for Lane?" He said he wants to try moving in together to see if that helps Lane except him. "And if he doesn't right away, oh well. He'll have to get used to me cause I am not going anywhere." It was a nice conversation.
So I have spent the last couple days eyeing some apartment complexes and checking out the average rental price for a house in some city areas. We already live in a big city (not Seattle-esqe) but we are also considering moving to the city. Vancouver is the 3rd largest city in Washington but it doesn't have a huge downtown like most "cities" have. Its just a very wide spread area that has a whole lot of suburbs and movie theaters. o_0 But Portland on the other hand, would be amazing...I've always wanted to live in the heart of a city where you can walk to anything you need. Lane wouldn't get much yard space BUT rent would be cheaper for a bigger place. So I guess you have to pick and choose whats important.
ANYWAY I can't stop mentally planning our place. We are aiming to be moved in by late August/early September so I have plenty of time...but I can't but thinking about making my batik window curtains that I've wanted to do for years now. Or Googling things I can revamp and tweak my self or 60s/70s Hippie memorabilia and bright, unique funiture pieces. OH and this site is amazing as well: www.notmartha.org All kinds of links, reviews and pictorals.
btw I still hate my job and I am still waiting on hearing back from a few other oppertunities. A friend of mine told me she thinks they are trying to weed me out for whatever reason. By not training me, knit picking the work I do, then up and moving me without even a breath of notice. Fantastic. I didn't even do anything wrong. :o\
Lane's bday is coming up fast! (July 2nd) His 3rd birthday party is on June 30th and its a carnival theme. Yall have noooo idea how excited I am for this. We are goig to tye dye and eat hot dogs and cupcakes and fruit-kabobs. And all the kids will play carnival style games and take home a goldfish like you do when you play the ping pong ball game :) Pictures of that coming soon or check out me myspace.
