MY LANEY BEAR TO SOOTHE MY SOUL
So Friday the 13th, we meet again...
I swear people are either purposely trying to make this day a big deal by driving like assholes or they are driving like assholes because of today. Either way, I don't care. In the course of 20 minutes I saw one driver, flat out run a red light at about 55mph in a 35. My lane of traffic was going thru the light and thank god the car in front of me wasn't going faster then he was otherwise there would have been a NASTY accident right there in front of me. Then the same Jeep/SUV thing a little further up the road is using the left hand turn lanes as lanes to get around the "slower" (aka going the speed limit) cars. And AGAIN the same assface cut off a car in the lane next to him in order to hit his brakes and pull into a gas station parking lot. I was baffled! All this in about a 1/2 mile stretch. About 15 minutes later, I am slowing down for a red light but making a right hand turn and I spot a sedan in my rearview behind me slow down too. Well I guess I was going too slow cause he used the left lane to pass me AS WE ARE TURNING THE SAME CORNER and then goes right into my lane! To top it off I saw another truck run a red light later down the road. And I'm not saying running red lights as in the are yellow then turn red...but red as in they were all already red and other lanes are starting to go on their green...Gah! IDIOTS!! I have never seen so much bad driving in one day...at least I am safe in cubical land now...
ANYWAY, here's some pics of Lane from yesterday after work :) We went to watch his cousin/my niece Ashlyn play in her first softball game of the 07 season but Laners had other plans....heh heh
