Red vs Blue Day
After 2 crazy Halloween parties and going on 5 days of mild sickness (I blame it mostly on beer pong, and possibly consuming dry ice, but it was worth it for the memories or lack thereof), I can honestly say that I'm in a good mood tonight based on what I saw at the polls and what I'm seeing on the news so far. It was pretty funny this morning when the first thing one of the volunteers says when she looks at me while checking my registration is, 'Are you old enough to vote?' Still got it XD
In other news as has happened on several occasions in the last few months, I get sick just in time to miss out on special events. Somehow the crazy navigation logic of Roombas came up at work yesterday, which I commented on the excellent series of film spoofs starring cats on Roombas that is Achewood's Great Moments in Cinema. Someone points out that it just so happens that Chris Onstad is going to be less than a mile from the office at the library, then a comic shop doing signings in like an hour. I had to grab groceries after work unless I planned to live on Halloween candy for the week, but I figured I could get a slice of glory after that. Nope, instead I had to go from 'not great' to 'shambling delirium' in the space of 20 minutes at Meijer. Awesome.
Well, here's to better days ahead where we have Presidents that don't immediately go on vacation after taking office and then spend the next 8 years making all the worst predictions of 'The Military-Industrial Complex' come true. Yarg!
