Lay is a bit taller than Dongwoo, maybe by only a few centimeters, and his hair looks soft and almost as brown as his eyes, and Dongwoo really wants to poke that cute little dimple that sinks a crescent into his skin beside his grin--a grin that looks just as eager and ecstatic as Dongwoo’s feels.

They bow at the same time and almost bump heads, only avoided by Woohyun’s helpful hand pushing him to the side a fraction to stave off the unfortunate knock of skulls. When Dongwoo shoots back to a straightened position, he peers into Lay’s bright bright eyes and his mouth goes off without him.

“You, you’re Lay,” he breathes, and then Dongwoo really lets it loose. “You’re amazing oh my god I bought EXO-M’s CD until I got your photo card and then I bought the Version B one off of someone I found on Naver and you’re the best dancer ever and I want to kiss your dimple.”

It should be awkward, they should be plunged into silence because Dongwoo just confessed the strangest shit and Woohyun is shuffling behind him and Sunggyu is probably shaking his head in their dressing room just sensing that Dongwoo made a fool of himself and Lu Han looks shocked but--

“No, god, oh my god, you’re Dongwoo, you dance like you were born to do it!” he gushes, and the slight accent in his Korean has Dongwoo swooning and almost falling into Woohyun for support. “I watched your debut with Infinite H on TV the other day and nearly died and I tried to meet you at one of the Gayo Daejuns but stupid duizhangrushed us out--”

“I tried too!” Dongwoo exclaims, his heart racing because Lay’s Chinese just does that to him, and then they both stop with the fiddling of their hands and the bouncing of their legs to really get a good look at each other. Dongwoo thinks he hears Woohyun mumble something to Lu Han and drag him off--good, Dongwoo thinks, because if this all goes how Dongwoo plans for it to, Woohyun wouldn’t just be seeing Lu Han a lot more; he’d see all of EXO-M. And lots of Lay, too.

Dongwoo feels very light-headed when Lay takes his hand in his own. He’s more forward than Dongwoo, isn’t he? Dongwoo is grateful for that, because he would have kept them in the awkward, giggling phase forever. “Dongwoo-sunbae--”

“Hyung, Lay. Call me hyung,” he says, and god he doesn’t think he’s sounded this shy in a while.

Lay flushes slightly; Dongwoo hopes it’s in delight, or maybe Lay is just embarrassed by how vulnerable Dongwoo’s voice is. “Then you call me Yixing,” Lay tells him. No. Yixing tells him.

“Okay.” Dongwoo grins and ducks his head, giggling into the heel of his free hand. The other is still encased in one of Yixing’s smaller hands, and just that is enough to make Dongwoo laugh even harder in happy disbelief.

“Do you have time to talk? I’ll make Lu Han go next with the coordi jie jie to make more time.” Yixing tilts his head curiously at Dongwoo, who feels his jaw slacken and quickly closes it; Yixing’s Chinese is going to be the death of him, and so are those lips, because all Dongwoo wants to do is see how they’d fit between his own full ones and lick into that mouth that carries such sweet-sounding words.

“Of course I have time!” he says happily, and lets Yixing lead him over to the couch. Dongwoo doesn’t say that, if he had to, he’d make all the time in the world for talented, lovely Yixing.

not op but i'm DYING, anon, this is PERFECT, i never knew i wanted this pairing but it seems actually plausible that dongwoo would like yixing, and the kind-of 2woo in this made me very happy indeed (your woohyun and sunggyu are especially perfect!) and i'm just all fuzzy now at how you managed to pull this pairing off :3

i hope they become good friends and cling to each other at gayos and sports days and stuff hehehe :333
