this probably isn't what you had in mind, but I hope you like it anyway.

It was while the crew was setting up the lighting for the next bit of recording that Changsub took to opportunity to pull Hyunsik aside. They moved into the entrance hallway, out of the way of the crew and the gear they were moving around, but still able to see into the living room where they had been filming previously.

“What’s up?” Hyunsik looked at Changsub, hands stuffed into his jacket pockets.

Changsub considered the other for a moment, tired eyes squinting in scrutiny. “Are you ok?”

Hyunsik cocked his head to the side, “Yeah?”

“I just want you to remember that this is just a show.” Changsub waved his thumb in the direction of the living room, and Hyunsik’s eyebrows knit together in confusion. “Even though we’re playing at that love/hate show, it’s not real.”

“I know that.” Hyunsik said with incredulity.

While Changsub continued to study him for a couple more seconds, Hyunsik turned to look down the hall and at the other members standing around. His eyes met Sungjae’s. Girl #2? No-Sungjae.

She gave a little wave and smiled before ducking her head, covering her smile with the back of her hand, and turning back towards the conversation in the group. Hyunsik’s delayed response of his own smile and tentative wave went unseen, at least by the other.

“Hyunsik.” He turned to Changsub. “Man, that’s not a girl. Stop waving. That’s Sungjae, remember? Our bandmate.”

Hyunsik immediately dropped his hand and tried to ignore the heat in his face. “I know!” He cast another quick glance to the living room. “But she’s so pretty.”

“Yeah, yeah. They all are.” Changsub gave the other a friendly pat on the shoulder and steered them both back into the living room. “Well… Except Peniel. Boy shouldn’t ever have a wig on his head.”

Hyunsik laughed at the concerned frown on Changsub’s face, but his eyes drifted over to Girl #2 of their own accord.
