"WHY CAN'T YOU PRACTICE BETTER, YOU MONKEYS. WE ARE OUT OF SYNCH," screams jonghyun one day while they are practicing for their next comeback. the music cuts to a stop when jonghyun angrily stomps over to the player, sending the practice room from angry electrorock music punctuated with minho's 'ooo yeah baby!'s to silence.

"hyung, why are you screaming. there is only the five of us here," taemin says, reaching for a towel and wiping away his sweat.

kibum rolls his eyes and flops down against the mirror, leaving a line of sweat on the glass. "see, i knew we should have petitioned harder for that one week break. jjong's officially lost it."

("if he's crazy now what was he earlier," taemin whispers.)

"OUR CONCEPT IS SYNCHRONISED ROBOT," jonghyun shouts, fingers pointing in the air.

"no, our concept is 'contemporary boyband'," jinki cuts in, confused. even in his confusion the quotation marks around his words are heard. clearly, no one, including the members themselves, understand their concept.

"use your damn inside voice," kibum groans. "you're giving me a headache." 3am after 6 straight hours of practice is not a good time to deal with jonghyun's fits. there's a height joke brewing somewhere along the surface but kibum swallows it down because frankly he's not too tall himself.

"okay but does this have to do with your sudden obsession with sunggyu's new rock album," jinki dares to venture, wondering whether he should bring the idea of stress therapy up to the managers.

"FLAWLESS ALBUM," jonghyun corrects and kibum snorts loudly.

"OKAY AND WHO WANTS TO BE MY HYUNA FOR TROUBLEMAKER IN THE NEXT SHINEE WORLD CONCERT?" when jonghyun whirls around taemin is long gone and the door is swinging shut.

jonghyun beams hopefully at kibum and gets a sock thrown in his face.

throughout jonghyun's spluttering and kibum's loud cackles, minho pouts down at his phone and jabs at a few buttons. "why isn't kyuhyun hyung replying my messages?"
