Sunggyu isn't sure what Woohyun looks like, but he doesn't care. He just finds the company nice and he doesn't mind at that Woohyun can talk his ear off. Their conversations never trickle down, but rather it just pours all in at once. It's like the rain that Sunggyu feels on his skin. It starts off as a light shower and suddenly it's everywhere. It's endless. He likes it when it rains, that way he never has to guess what the weather is outside, he just hears it. Pounding and rapping at his window, or kissing his skin when he reaches his hand out the window. He enjoys the rain, but he thinks he likes Woohyun just a bit more.

When Sunggyu first loses his sight, he believes that's the end of his life. No more school, no more sports, no more reading, no more living. The rest of his days would be spent in solitary, never to leave the house lest he injure himself. When his mother brings up the idea of hired help, he opposes the idea, because that would be admitting he needs help. And God, no one wants to be rendered helpless. He argues with his mother from his bed, staring off into the directions he believes her voice is resonating from. It's humbling knowing you won't be able see your mother's face ever again and it pains him especially that he never had a say of whether or not to, it just happened. Maybe that's why Sunggyu opts for a more permanent stay at a facility which treats people with conditions or medical issues like him. To escape the pain that the house he once knew is just a veil of darkness and to stop from being a burden to his mother.

The first day at the home is nothing special. The nurses baby him, their hands barely ghosting over his arms as they lead him to his room. They instruct him of everything and tell him his meals will be delivered to him, as well as there's a button to press when he needs to use the bathroom. Sunggyu, to this day, has yet to call for the nurse when nature calls. And His reality was just as he theorized, boring, bleak, and plain. He's not sure on what day Woohyun entered his life, but he thinks it was a Sunday. He's annoying and loud and so many other adjectives that are all just so Woohyun.

Woohyun never mentions his obvious blindness and for that Sunggyu is thankful for. Maybe it's because Woohyun is thoughtful or the fact that he's lazy, but he never tries to assist him in anything. If Sunggyu says he wants to watch tv, Woohyun never treats his desires as silly. They sit and stare at the television. Woohyun never tells him what's happening on the screen. It's nice.

Sunggyu tries to honor Woohyun's ignorance with his own. He never mentions the scars which adorn his face or how badly he wants to touch them, to get an idea of where they are. Sunggyu doubts that Woohyun is even aware that Sunggyu knows about them, too. It had been a careless nurse and the slip of the tongue which informed him. He'll never say anything about them though, because what if Woohyun's only natural around him because thinks he has no clue about them. What if, what if, what if. There's too much time to think these days. There's so many questions, and all Sunggyu knows for sure is that he wants to know what Woohyun looks like. Scars or no scars.

"Woohyun, what do you look like?" There's a commercial playing on the tv advertising some variety show.

"The most beautiful thing on this Earth."

It's a cocky answer and Sunggyu wants to reply with something snarky, but he won't because he believes Woohyun. The most beautiful thing. Sunggyu bets he is and even if he could see, he wouldn't doubt those words either.
