Baekhyun wakes up just right before the alarm goes off, which is a miracle because it normally takes Sehun and Jongin pulling both at his arms and legs to get him out of bed. He stretches his arms above his head, working out the knots until he's satisfied, humming BAP's Power under his breath. As he realizes this, he immediately stops humming because since when did he hum BAP songs? He shrugs it off and continues stretching.

When the alarm does go off, he turns it off and stands up to gather his towel and clothes for his shower. He notices that the closet is more spacious than usual and a lot neater, too. Maybe the cleaning lady couldn't stand it and decided to clean the closets, too.

As he gets done with preparing stuff for his shower, he stands in the middle of the room and stares at the empty bed on the other side of the room. The white sheets and pillows are neatly pressed and arranged. He frowns at it for a moment before he shrugs and walks out.

Baekhyun's humming Power to himself again, eyes on the script for the show they're about to do in his hands, as they wait in the van until their manager tells them it's time for them to get off. Jongin, who's sitting beside him, nudges him with his elbow.

"That guy's here again," he tells Baekhyun.

"Hmm," Baekhyun merely mutters, not even bothering to follow where Jongin is looking out of the window.

"He's always at our events, though," Joonmyun says offhandedly.

Baekhyun tunes out their small talk about a random fan and says instead, "Hey, can you lend me your green highlighter? That seems to help me wonders in memorizing lines."

The van quiets. Baekhyun frowns when no one is handing him the highlighter. He looks up right about the time Kyungsoo clears his throat.

"Who are you asking exactly?" Sehun asks curiously.

"I..." Baekhyun looks at each of his members and feels confused. He's not exactly sure whom he is asking the highlighter from. "Never mind," he says instead and goes back to memorizing his script.

They're just finishing the show and Baekhyun can't help but look out into the audience, where their fans scream at every movement that any of the members make. He lifts up a hand and waves. When the fans scream, he laughs and immediately looks to the far right of the group, where Joonmyun is sitting. Joonmyun meets his eyes and there's obvious laughter leaking out from him. Baekhyun's eyes shift farther, though, to the empty space beside Joonmyun. This leaves the gaping hole, one that's been growing since he woke up this morning, inside of him opening wider. He frowns and looks away, ignoring the slightly hurt look that Joonmyun throws at him.

They stand up and Baekhyun positions himself to the far left, just beside Kyungsoo, who holds his hand and smiles genially at him.

"Right now, we are EXO-K," Joonmyun begins their parting words.

But as they all yell 'We Are One' into their microphones, Baekhyun can't help but feel that something is missing.
