luhan stiffens at his touch. "yeah," he says, and stands up. minseok's hand falls limply at his side. "see you around."
--
it only occurs to minseok later that luhan could've been asking him a question. "let's break up?" minseok tries asking his reflection in the mirror, and finds himself at a loss as to how to reply. (he ends up staring at the mirror for a good ten minutes before jongdae bangs on the door and yells at him to hurry the fuck up.) the thing is, this whole relationship thing had been luhan's idea, and minseok had simply went along with it, finally won over by luhan's persistence and devotion. no one had ever liked him as much as luhan had. always the lead in his other relationships, minseok had simply sat back, given the reins to luhan, and waited for things to happen.
it was nice to be loved. luhan never cried in front anyone, refused to even when they won their first award and all his dreams were coming true, but minseok had brought luhan on the verge of tears several times (a fact that he is both ashamed and a little proud of). "don't look at her," luhan had begged him, almost sobbing in his state of drunkenness, and minseok immediately felt guilty for flirting with the new assistant coordi.
"shh. i wasn't. you know i only look at you," minseok had teased, holding the other boy close. it was a blatant lie, but luhan was more than a little desperate and head over heels in love, and it was enough. minseok felt guilty but also, in a sense, privileged to see this side of luhan; felt oddly touched that this usually unruffled, carefree boy could be reduced to a mess by someone as ordinary as him.
