kyungsoo isn't angry, but neither is he pleased, and this is how he finds himself watching baekhyun more often. it isn't difficult to see his appeal and why jongin has a crush on him. what strikes kyungsoo the hardest is how beautiful baekhyun is all the time. he thinks baekhyun looks best when he smiles: it's the way his eyes still sparkle through the half-moon slits they curl into, the way his cheeks tighten from how wide his smile is, the way his lips stretch far enough to easily show how sharp his canine teeth are.
soon it's jongin who points out to kyungsoo that he's staring, and kyungsoo flushes because he knows baekhyun has noticed the extra attention too. baekhyun takes to touching him more often, hand resting on his shoulder as his fingers gently curl around the side of his neck. once, he caught baekhyun staring at him, and till this day he can't name the expression on baekhyun's face when their eyes met. it worries kyungsoo how less playful baekhyun is with him, how this baekhyun is more reserved, but at the same time he loves it, cherishes being able to see and experience the more serious side to baekhyun.
jongin isn't the least bit surprised when kyungsoo tells him that maybe he has a crush on baekhyun too. jongin grins as if he were expecting it, practically dancing in his seat with excitement. kyungsoo returns a smile back slowly (it's always hard not to), and asks what they should do next. jongin winks, takes kyungsoo's hand into his, and tells him not to worry about it.
sorry if this is shitty hdsfgadfgdfkjdsfhhkjfkls i've never written kyungsoo before, and then TADA this stream of consciousness thing in his pov. ~_~ i hope you like it!

I love the way you describe Baekhyun. And the way Jongin is so smitten and Kyungsoo falls slowly. And the little hints at Baekhyun reciprocating. <3

kyungsoo watches jongin make eyes at baekhyun, and wonders how it's so easy for jongin. a gaze of adoration here, a nuzzle of affection there, and kyungsoo swears jongin has baekhyun hooked. jongin assures him that they're going somewhere, that whatever he's doing, he's doing it right. kyungsoo is anxious anyway.
he has no idea if his advances are working, or are even being considered as advances. he feels like a fish out of water, trying to charm baekhyun. more than anything, he wants to make baekhyun laugh. he lets baekhyun in jokes he'd normally reserve for jongin because jongin is the only one who really laughs at them. baekhyun doesn't get it most of the time, but he smiles anyway, like he knows he'll get it eventually.
one morning, baekhyun and kyungsoo wake up before the rest because the recording schedule demands them to. baekhyun is half-asleep, draped over the couch's armest when kyungsoo pops his head out from the kitchen.
"baekhyun-ah, what do you want to eat?" he asks smiling, and watches baekhyun struggle to sit up and face him.
"whatever you're having is fine," baekhyun mumbles with his eyes still closed. kyungsoo comes out with two bowls of cereal a few minutes later, and goes back to bring two cups of tea. he sits next to baekhyun, and nudges his shoulder. when he doesn't move, kyungsoo tries again.
"eat," kyungsoo orders softly when baekhyun finally looks at him. they eat quietly, baekhyun too tired to multitask, kyungsoo not particularly caring either way. he listens to their spoons clink against their bowls and their mouths slurping at the milk almost rhythmically. this is nice, he thinks.
"i know what you and jongin are trying to do," baekhyun informs kyungsoo as he reaches for his tea.
kyungsoo looks down into his empty bowl. "and?"
"and you guys don't have to try so hard. you could've just asked." kyungsoo turns to look at him, the whites of his eyes as visible as ever, and baekhyun laughs. he presses their knees together and places a hand on kyungsoo's thigh for a few seconds, before pushing himself up to stand.
"come on, we'll tell jongin when we get home."

i love how baekhyun already knows. because baekhyun isn't stupid and i bet kaisoo were obvious with their advances even though they thought they were being subtle lol.
