"this isn't a big umbrella," junghwan comments, standing out in the rain, walking home from their date. his hand is sore from holding up the umbrella, but he doesn't want to ask dongwoo to hold it up for him, enjoying the hand around his shoulders that warms his whole body up.

dongwoo hums in approval, "yeah i'm sorry, sunwoo borrowed my bigger one." his bangs are just a little bit wet, and they drip like the edge of the umbrella, small droplets running down his cheek and into his clothes to hide.

it's a bit awkward for the both of them, sharing an umbrella, and junghwan notices how closely dongwoo presses up to his body to stay clear of the rain, dongwoo's fingertips pressing softly against junghwan's arm to make sure he doesn't run away. of course he wouldn't run away - he was just treated for dinner.

"are you getting wet?" dongwoo asks, and there's that voice again, junghwan thinks. junghwan shakes his head-nope, he's perfectly fine, and dongwoo's grin seems to grow just a little bit more. dongwoo's smile makes the rain not seem that bad. "we aren't that far away, anyways. do you want me to hold the umbrella?"

junghwan shakes his head again, a smile poking at the corners of his lips. "no, it's ok. i can manage." they share a smile, turning the corner and walking up the street to their apartment.

they can hear the rain droplets bounce off of the umbrella and roll down, falling to the pavement where they step. people don't like the rain, and so they walk in almost-silence.

"thanks," dongwoo says when they reach the door, closing the umbrella. junghwan bites down on his lip.

"can you continue holding my shoulders?" he asks, rubbing the back of his neck. dongwoo laughs, pecking junghwan's lips.

"of course."

wahhh, this was a really adorable fill! I have such a soft spot for shindeul ;~; <3 i like how you wrote cnu and sandeul with a sort of quiet attraction to each other ^^
