While Kyungsoo was trying to calculate the cost of the items, the customer had already slapped the bill on the counter, giving him a quick smile before heading towards the door, leaving the wide-eyed cashier staring after him.
He was still flustered from touching the huge (and horrifyingly realistic) dildo, and the fact that it had a tag that described its varying levels of vibration didn't help to calm him down at all.
Why he was working at the shop, he did not know.
Kyungsoo pushed the blame on his need for money to pay for his college tuition, and that the shop's owner, Kris hyung, actually paid him well.
And the customers were, as a whole, nice people.
Sure, they would often tease him for always stammering and blushing when he tried (emphasis on the word ‘try’) accounting for their purchases, but they were still nice towards him, never getting annoyed or impatient when he ended up gawking at the items they had selected rather than focusing on his job.
Kyungsoo still did not know why he was working at the shop.
What he did know, however, was that it had absolutely nothing to do with the ridiculously tall (he never thought he would see another person who would be able to meet Kris hyung eye to eye), notoriously good-looking stranger who would frequent the shop on a weekly basis.
No, it had nothing to do with the stranger who had just left, not at all.
Curly-haired, always smiling, Mr Stranger would always make one or two purchases when he came strolling in. He would be careless in selecting the items, Kyungsoo noticed (not that he spent all his time observing whatever Mr Stranger was doing whenever he came), and never bothered with the prices.
Just another one of those rich, kinky men, perhaps.
He would tell his friends about the mysterious, very much elusive stranger, whenever he met up with them. They would then tease him about his fascination, tell him that he should strike up a conversation, and he would be left wondering why he had even confided in them in the first place.
“Maybe he wants to shag you.”
Kyungsoo managed a remarkably good imitation of a goldfish before Sehun, out of nicety (definitely not something else, something like his lack of sympathy and evilness towards anyone but Luhan), stuffed another marshmallow in his mouth.
“W - what? T - that’s - “
Jongin went back to his coffee, ignoring Kyungsoo’s incoherent stuttering.
And all Sehun did was to offer him yet another marshmallow.

This time, however, curly-haired stranger didn’t head straight to the aisles when he had stepped in. Instead, he had walked right up to the cashier, startling Kyungsoo, who had been trying to busy himself with the tidying of an already-clean counter.
“C - can I help you?”
He deserved a pat on the back, he actually completed a whole sentence.
“That depends.”
The answer earned a look of confusion, one that rivaled a puppy’s, and the stranger gave a low chuckle at that.
“I don’t understand,” Kyungsoo tried, abandoning the towel he was holding on to, bringing his hands together in an attempt to calm his heart down.
For some reason, the wall of leather straps and gag balls seemed a whole lot more interesting rather than intimidating when the other alternative he had was to look up to meet the other’s eyes.
Eyes that were just about to swallow him whole.
“Are you free after your session?”
The question shocked him into silence, and he finally brought his eyes back to meet the stranger’s, mouth agape as he tried to comprehend the words.
“You’re cute, I’m interested, and I am wondering if you’re free to hang out after your job’s done for the day. This isn’t too hard to understand, is it?”
Somehow, Kyungsoo felt like any other person would be affronted by the last sentence, but all he could do was to stare down at his joined hands, blushing madly.
“I - I...”
He tried, he really did, but before he could give a reply, the stranger had taken a step backwards.
“Sorry, I was too hasty, wasn’t I?” He remarked, eyes wondering as he took in all of Kyungsoo’s small, still flustered form, “It’s always like this, my friends say I often lack this thing called ‘tact’. I’m scaring you, am I not?”
His confidence, one that he always carried, was almost like a protection now, the one thing he was clinging onto as he waited for a reply.
“N - no!”
Kyungsoo’s exclamation surprised even himself, and he hastily added on, not wanting the other to misunderstand any further, “I - I was just taken aback. A - and, I’d love to. Um, hang out, I mean. I’d love to hang out after this.”
A smile found its way back onto the taller man’s lips, and he nodded.
“That’s great. My name’s Chanyeol, by the way, you are Kyungsoo, right?”
And for a reason Kyungsoo couldn’t figure out, having that low, undeniably sultry voice saying his name had him blushing hard yet again.
“Y - yeah. I end in an hour, by the way,” he managed, eyes darting back to his hands as he tried not to sound too eager.
“See you then.”
By the time he dared to look up, the chime of the doorbell was already sounding, and he was left wondering just what the hell had happened.
He could almost hear Jongin’s smug little voice going “I told you so.”
