this is longer than i meant it to be and probably not what you wanted... includes crossdressing, though i think the prompt makes that obvious enough ;p

Joonmyun’s very confused.

He’s a good leader. He’s good with people, good as solving problems and keeping the peace. He prides himself at being able to talk anyone into doing anything and fill in the gaps left by stumbling bandmates. He’s learned what a reassuring hand to the small of Baekhyun’s back can do, knows a smile aimed at a shy Sehun gives him a boost of confidence. A water bottle handed to Kyungsoo before a performance helps him sing better and a lame joke whispered in Chanyeol’s ear helps him keep his smile, even when he wants to lose it.

But Joonmyun’s also honest. There are some things he doesn’t understand. Like, for example, Jongin. Sometimes Joonmyun lies awake at night and thinks about the way Jongin’s voice sounds, imagining how it probably makes his chest rumble. He thinks about the how Jongin’s skin is always warm from dancing, how he perpetually smells like their lemongrass soap because he hates the feeling of sweat on him, and how, when he’s on stage, every movement, is fueled with his heart and soul.

Joonmyun never knows what to say to Jongin. Not when it’s a serious problem (Kyungsoo’s better at that,) and not when he’d been in a petty fight (Baekhyun manages to cheer him up.) Joonmyun knows even Zitao, whose Korean is basically shit, can make Jongin smile when Joonmyun cannot.

Which is why Joonmyun’s a little puzzled. His confusion has nothing to do with the skirt, pink and sparkly, clinging to Jongin’s thighs like leather pants never have, or with the make up carefully applied to his face in places it’s only ever supposed to be on girls. He’s confused about Jongin coming to see him at all. This doesn’t look like something Joonmyun’ll be good at handling; Baekhyun’s probably a better choice. Also, Jongin has a very obvious boner. Joonmyun’s not really sure who’d be good at taking care of that.

“What happened?” he asks, still not entirely sure if the dress-up is purposeful or if Jongin had lost a bet. Jongin’s the last in their group Joonmyun would expect to do this.

“I need you to yell,” Jongin says, “I need you to severely discipline Yixing. Immediately.”

Ah, Yixing. That explains a few things. “You have the wrong leader,” Joonmyun says, partially as a joke, and mostly relieved this is not the fault of someone in K. He likes his group. He likes all twelve of them. But there’s a reason he’s the leader of K and not M, and that reason has nothing to do with languages.

“I spoke to Wu Fan,” Jongin says, mouth bending awkwardly around the foreign sounds. “He laughed at me and hung up the phone.”

Joonmyun has to swallow when Jongin pouts. The gloss on his lips makes them stick when speaks, and Joonmyun wonders if it’s the sort with a flavor or if it’s something expensive that had been pilfered from Baekhyun’s not-so-secret stash. “I’m sure he didn’t understand the situation; what is the situation?”

“Yixing is the situation.”

Joonmyun’s starting to think that’s not at all the case. Wu Fan’s never been one to shirk duties, not even if it has to do with K. Also, even if it is a bet, the make up wouldn’t be applied so nicely and Jongin’s legs most certainly wouldn’t be shaved so perfectly.

And he wouldn’t have a fucking boner.
