nameless tune, girl's day, hyeri/yura anonymous September 2 2012, 17:02:23 UTC
Hyeri scowls as she enters her vocal music classroom. Her chair - the one lodged between goody-two-shoes Sojin and sweetie-pie Minah - has a small slip of pink paper sitting nicely on it. Most of the time people don't put things on people's chairs, so when Hyeri walks up and grabs the slip of paper, unfolding it even before she sets her things down.

You bring the sunshine,
And you bring the fun,
So let's shine, shine, shine,
Brighter than the sun.

Hyeri scowls. She's one-hundred percent sure that those are the lyrics for the song that she is writing for music right now.

Hyeri tucks the slip of paper inner pocket.

Ahyoung doesn't know what to expect when she enters class and sees a pink slip of paper, indentical to the one she had left there yesterday, sitting on her chair. She rushes over, almost pushing Jihae over in the process, and scoops the paper in her hair like it was made of glass or porcelain.

When I saw you from across the street,
I couldn't believe it was you.
But I am so glad you came,
That you jumped into my life.

She hums a tune along with it and smiles, slipping it into her binder carefully.

- -

Hyeri isn't surprised to see another piece of paper on her chair that morning. This mysterious writer and she had been writing this nameless song for three days now. The chorus stuck in her head - even if she didn't know the tune.

What she didn't expect was the note to have an actual phrase at the bottom, past the song lyrics.

- -

Ahyoung smiles, slipping her hand in Hyeri's. They sit in the school's auditorium, past six o'clock, shrouded by the darkness of mid-November.

And then the bass kicks in, and the lyrics fly up on a screen. They sing along to the lyrics that they had written themselves.

"You could have just given me your number," Hyeri says, tapping Ahyoung's thigh.

Ahyoung shrugged, pecking Hyeri softly on the cheek, "Nah."
