they get drunk on cheap wine procured for them by boa (who bribed her manager) the evening when tiffany turns 17. they drink it in the park during sunset, on the bench, surrounded by grass and pigeons and dogs with trash in their mouths. it's a sunday that year, but tiffany's gone to church that day, just like every other sunday, with that boy from super junior, siwon.
tiffany's wearing a small, silver cross around her neck. it bumps against her skin when she laughs, loud and drunk. taeyeon stares at it, a small, sharp warning. taeyeon wants to tell her to take it off, she went to church already, said her prayers--she was already a good girl today.
the super junior boy--siwon--wears a cross around his neck too, but he wears his all the time. taeyeon has heard him, seen him reading his bible in the cafeteria after rehearsals. she got the idea. she's seen tiffany with him too, the two of them hunched over the same bible, saying prayers together, being good people together and--
"taeyeon?" she blinks. her mind goes blank. tiffany had just been talking, saying something about siwon, something about sundays--
"are you going to come to church with siwon and me one day?"
taeyeon's mind goes back to cross, back to the tiny bit of lacy fabric visible from tiffany's v-neck t-shirt. tiffany's looking at her, eyes glassy from the wine, cheeks bright and red. taeyeon pauses. she tears at the wine bottle label.
"no."
"why not?" tiffany's smile turns into a sad one and taeyeon can feel her mood dropping, her heart dropping, why couldn't she just go and--
"i don't think it's a good idea tiffany." her voice is weak and she knows it. tiffany smiles, sadder, softer, more heartfelt than the last.
"i don't think it's right for me to go there." taeyeon continues. she'd gone to tiffany's church once, after rehearsals. she'd heard the pastor talking about sin, about judgement, seen his eyes, warm and forgiving anyways. taeyeon had waited until the church cleared. she'd spoken to him, asked him about tiffany.
"she's a good girl, tiffany. is she your friend? she's so smiley all the time. she used to help out at the church sometimes, before she got too busy." the pastor said sadly. taeyeon had felt a lump in her throat. good girl tiffany.
"she's my friend, yeah. we share a dorm room."
tiffany's fingers graze the inside of her wrist. her nails scrape against taeyeon's skin. taeyeon kisses her, soft and fast, a quick brush of lips. she splays her hands on tiffany's hips and they tumble onto to grass, tiffany pinning her down. tiffany tastes like the cheap wine, taeyeon bites her bottom lip. tiffany pulls away.
the cross bumps again her skin again. taeyeon can see it glinting in the light of the setting sun. they drank the wine too fast and too much of it. she thinks of tiffany's pastor, the kind man with warm eyes and his words. good girl tiffany.
(taeyeon is reminded of the contraband cigarettes heechul sometimes passes her in the cafeteria. she smokes them in the fire escape when tiffany's asleep.)
bad girl taeyeon.
taeyeon is jolted back when tiffany bites her ear. she whines. she can feel tiffany grinning against her neck.

not the op but i wanted someone to fill this prompt so bad and ;______; thank you, thank you, this is a lovely fic to a lovely prompt! taeyeon wants to tell her to take it off, she went to church already, said her prayers--she was already a good girl today. is my favourite line and god i just love how you've written both of them, how guilty taeyeon is. have my heart ♥
