Title: what if (a much of a which of a wind)
Fandom and Pairing: big bang; jiyong-centric
Rating: pg
Word Count: 200
Summary: jiyong thinks too much. title from ee cummings.
Warnings: swearing
at the end of the day, what jiyong's really afraid of is failure. so people can say that he's daring and innovative and doesn't give a fuck what other people think about him, but to be honest (and the people closest to him know this) the front is all a lie.
what if our next album's a flop, he thinks. what if i get accused of breaking the law again, what if yg loses faith in me, what if even youngbae turns his back? the cynical thoughts swirl around in his head, send dizzy whirls of vertigo through his gut, make him tread carefully. sometimes it feels like he's compromising everything he's worked for since he was a tiny kid sweeping the floors of the practice rooms, only dreaming of life as a star. and when everything breaks apart, goes to shit, he slowly picks up the pieces and gets back up again. it's a vicious cycle.
insecurity is an impossible habit to break. and as long as it keeps him cautious and raking in just enough cash for that new pair of gucci loafers or a completely new wardrobe for their next concept, he's not sure he wants to.
