as the days go on, he finds it increasingly difficult to work with the torn-up battlefield that is his mind. he's so, so tired, and the sick sequence of mania and depression come in ever rapid waves until the only thing he can do is write and rewrite the latest group songs in the familiar comfort of their studio, never satisfied with any of the tracks.
what's going on? youngbae asks, concern shining through the layers of his own dull exhaustion. do you need a break? jiyong wants to take him by the shoulders and shake, tell him to check himself out in the mirror and ask the same thing. seungri makes tentative, indirect comments about vacation and other shit that jiyong appreciates the sentiments of but has no patience to listen to. don't push yourself so hard, seunghyun says, quietly, and daesung's eyes pose a million different questions with every glance, questions he'd answer if he had any idea how to.
he can't give them a response; not today, not tomorrow. he only follows wherever the melody inside his head leads him, and the melody now is like a broken record, a fucked up cycle that he can't escape.
