round 05, challenge five: elimination comments
#01 - i like the ideas because it's cute but it feels really rushed like they're trying to place a bunch of ideas into one small drabble which makes everything clash and leaves the reader kinda going "ehhhhhhhhh." >:
#01 - The emotions weren't there for me at all.
#01 - this was really sweet, but there was no point or impact to the drabble. it didn't hit me as hard as some of the others did.
#01 - the feel of the entry is nice (domestic and fluffy), but some of the descriptions just... aren't. "ocean of brown on brown" and "tongue meeting tongue" aren't sweet or hot; they're just descriptions of what's happening with no tone and just aren't pleasant.
#01 - Something about it just seems lazy to me--from the wrong pairing listed to the lapslock. Premise wise, for me it crossed the boundary from emotional to purple, which is never a good thing.
#02 - the italics (the subtitles?) were distracting and didn't add to the story. they seemed unnecessary and the entry would've benefited without them. the descriptions were also a bit too descriptive -- i understand that it's written from the pov of siwon and the descriptions are his thoughts, but they just don't seem plausible or... fluid (i mean the text doesn't flow on from the description, that the entry lacks flow.) also the last section where he "marks the skin red and purple" seems more violent than possessive or loving.
#03 - Was the one that I least liked. It just seemed a bit rushed, making the characters not fit well each other.
#04 - i thought this drabble was sweet, but it didn't stand out to me the way some of the other entries did.
#04 - There was just too little to judge anything style-wise and in the end, while I couldn't find anything wrong with it, I just couldn't find anything that made it stand out either.
#04 - too short to really have any impact beyond superficial sweetness.
#05 - i didn't really like kyuhyun and zhou mi's interaction in this. zhou mi was too much of a housewife-waiting-for-her-man-to-come-home for me to appreciate his characterization. moreover, the alternation between "Zhou Mi" and "ZhouMi" bothered me.
#05 - there's nothing really wrong with it but i think it has the weakest interpretation of the prompt. it's not anything really special.

#02 - the last line felt like a punch in the gut. i loved siwon's characterization in this one.
#02 - I can't say anything other than that this is a drabble done right. The author's take on the prompt was unexpected, too, and it was a pleasant surprise. The author did an awesome job.
#03 - the description was clean and simple, but in a good way. the style of writing is one i like and doesn't focus on description or imagery to get across the feelings, but simply the actions. i also like that the take on the prompt wasn't standard or so straight forward but was still there.
#03 - this was intense. i loved the way the author played them off each other in a subtle sort of power game, so well done, and the writing itself was good. also i have a weakness for druggie!fics, lol.
#03 - i like this because it has an interesting twist on approaching the prompt, not really making kissing about love, but kissing about victory, so the "reason for kissing" is more interesting than in the other drabbles~
#05 - It’s just like Kyuhyun, really, to do the responsible thing and not answer his phone while driving but bypass all the reasons not to and text him back instead. that just had me. It was an amazing line. And I loved the whole emotions there.

dimentionally and flickre have been disqualified for using an "extra" skip. formattitude has used her last skip. saengie and perkybird have used one skip for this challenge.
