updates n jazz
hello!
with all the recent ficdom 'drama' (I say 'drama' because I'm not sure how blown up the issue has gotten outside of my circle), I thought it would be good for me to drop by and leave a note or two.
I'm actually mainly writing this just to say that I'm alive! (and fighting through IB, but you know, still fighting.) but also, this comm is about 2 years old now, and I'd just like to say that I personally am 100% grateful for everyone who has dropped by and/or read my fics. there's a lot of stuff going on around now about silent readership, but I'd just like to point out that I don't believe that anyone should feel pressured into saying...well, anything. everyone knows that receiving comments from people who've appreciated your work is an amazing feeling, and yeah in an ideal world, everyone who appreciates the work would comment BUT that's not our world. sometimes real life catches up and whatnot. there are just too many factors to consider about this 'problem'.
I guess the point that I'm trying to make is that ficdom/fandom is should be about fun and enjoying stuff and being able to share that experience with others, and I hope you guys maintain that and not let really strange....warped opinions about /how/ you should appreciate things get to you. Idk.
tl;dr: u guys do u, 100%. I miss this place.
