Hello everybody in journal land, I have a question for all of you.
I am considering doing a web-based show called "unsung" reviewing the overlooked gems of film history. The idea is to focus on very good films which have either flopped in the box office, or have been forgotten entirely by the movie watching public. With this, I hope to expand on the cult followings that many of these films already have, and hopefully bring their contributions to the medium to the attentions of as many people as I can.
I have yet to tear through my collection and devise a full list, but a few examples would be Mystery Men, Unbreakable, or Death to Smoochy.
I would like to know if any of you have any unsung heroes of film that you would like to see some light shined on. I'm not guaranteeing I'll do an episode about it if you post it, but some starter ideas would be nice, and I'd like to give everybody a chance to get some of their favourites out in the open. If I haven't seen the film(s) you suggest, I -will- watch it/them at the very least. Some may become episodes of Unsung, some may not.
Anyways, hit me with your best shot folks!
