Reasons I Love New York: Indifference Edition
1. When a major car accident takes out all lanes of a highway, New Yorkers will take out the lounge chairs from their trunks, break out the beer coolers, and toss the most incredible, impromptu party in the middle of traffic.
2. On 1010 WINS, a reporter was covering a murder and interviewed several people on that street. One guy a few houses down from the crime said, "I just wanna eat my pizza. It's tasty." I'm not sure if I'm more amused that the voice clip made the broadcast or that some guy would have pizza delivered in the middle of a crime scene.
3. After Italy beat France, I saw a naked man race down 18, 19th or 20th avenue with the Italian flag.
I love my city and the very, very special people that populate it.
