this is actually the description for two (three?) stories from the same series that crosses over with stargate sg-1 later on:

blair is kidnapped on his way home, (episode divergence) possibly after he is beaten by goons hired by a student he refused to give a good but undeserved grade to, and rescued by jim but left alone afterwards

• is taken by an unknown male (wealthy, dangerous, creepily polite) to a facility with a number of unbonded sentinels--a young black girl from a rough neighborhood who distrusts everyone, a spanish-speaking man who knows what he is and what blair is and wants to bond with him, a sadistic young man who's a gangbanger (black/latino?) and tried to rape/assault blair, and i think the last was a little girl (white?) who may or may not have been the replacement for alex barnes
• alex barnes who was transferred to their facility but soon killed b/c she tried and succeeded, to a point, in putting the same whammy on her guards as she did on jim (and a number of other men, it turns out, according to the investigation that they rant on her)
• he refuses at first but then finds out that they've already killed a sentinel who's senses got out of control and they "put down" cause she was useless to them that way and concedes to helping the sentinels, especially when he finds out that the next sentinel who'll be put down is a little girl (who may be bonded to her sister as her guide)
• jim finds out that blair is kidnapped and is led to him by his spirit animal who is pissed as hell at him for being such a sucky friend and sentinel and eventually finds blair, and the other sentinels
• he's able to sneak in but gets caught and fights his way through; blair hears him and rescues the other sentinels and kills the head honcho, the kidnapper, via the spirit animals who took corporeal form and ravaged/ate/clawed him
• jim meets the other sentinel interested in bonding w/ blair and is jealous, possessive and afraid of losing blair, which leads to him trying to physically separate the two, assert his claim, etc.. which pisses off blair who's been made to feel like jim didn't care anymore and didn't even want him as a guide
• blair discovers the files of other sentinels and possible sentinels and decides to find them and save them is possible, teach them how to control their abilities; while doing this, he is confronted by the sentinel who tried to forced him before but is able to fight him off by borrowing power from jim via their bond
• the young black woman (sentinel) bond w/ an ER ambulance driver who is compelled to their location, along with his partner (not a guide or sentinel)--witnessed by all the sentinels, simon banks, jim and blair

sentinel and guides are (yet) unknown to the public but there are plan to unveil them; blair and jim, along with a couple other people (might have been some major crimes gang in there, strongly possible that one of them is captain banks, but no certain) who choose a location outside a city (NOT Cascade), have a deal with that city's mayor to keep quiet so long as he gets to be the first one to open a school/center for sentinels and guides

• the school/center employs teachers for very young sentinels and guides
• sentinels and guides, especially sentinels, find their way to them even without any official announcement
• jim and blair are known as the alpha/prime sentinel and shaman, respectively; both aren't very sure about being called that but eventually get used to it since everyone calls them that--and they're bonded
• they have a lawyer (sentinel, i think) w/ a shark spirit animal who's hesitant about but eventually bonds w/ a very young female guide, about 5-8 yrs old, i think
• another female guide, goth, arrogant, refuses to bond w/ anyone but jim, keeps trying and failing to break the bond b/w jim and blair; eventually when jim is sick b/c of some supernatural stuff, she sneaks into his room and tries to force a bond on him. blair gets super pissed off but i can't remember whether he did anything to her other than exiling her from the place

eventually crosses over w/ stargate sg-1

• two representatives of the gov/ are sent over to open negotiation and the like with them but the two men who appear turn out to be fakes (NID specifically) who try to get past blair only to find to their shock and fear that blair's guide abilities are more than about keeping his sentinel calm and focused; he uses his "guide voice" to compel them to tell the truth about their intentions and identities.
• the two fakes are forced to stand and watch as jim (or blair) calls the sgc (specifically lieutenant colonel paul davis, i think was the name of the diplomat they usually send for first contact) and confirms their identities, or lack thereof, and soon enough the actual reps show up and get the two NID goons taken away and attempts to get negotiations open again
• one of the things that come out of it is that any active military personnel who exhibits any sentinel abilities or feels a compulsion (possibly due to being guides) to head toward the school/center are to be allowed to do so and not be declared AWOL--doesn't matter what rank or branch of the military it is; passed out on a memo to all services and all high ranking military personnel
• NID try to kidnap a couple of young sentinels/guides (a young girl and boy, i think) but is stopped by another young sentinel, many of the sentinels in the house/center/school sense/hear what's going on immediately
• turns out daniel is either a guide or a pseudo-guide w/ his own spirit animal, is in a relationship with jack, who gets a bit uncertain about having him around so many unbonded sentinels;and later on somehow bonds with his entire team
• all the guides start having visions about Langara and Jonas Quinn and Blair and Jim, along w/ Sg-1 get sent to find out what's wrong
