It's been so long since I've read these, but hopefully someone will remember this. Both slash, Jim/Blair.
1. AU. Jim meets Blair, who is very young kid (underage)--Blair injures himself somehow and Jim brings him to the hospital, but Blair says he doesn't have any health insurance. Jim then brings him home and lets him sleep on the couch and gets him some medicine, but when he's upstairs he can hear Blair's heartbeat and he becomes frustrated and begins to do, like 100s of pushups.
Anyway, fast forward a few weeks or a month; Jim lets Blair stay at his place alone and Blair pines and then one day he hears the key turn in the lock and Jim walks in after coming home from a trip and Blair kind of jumps him and kisses him. And then they go hiking together and someone takes their picture at the summit and Jim keeps it. And the story continues on for ages afterwards; they separate somehow, pine after each other, everyone thinks their relationship is vaguely inappropriate because Blair is so much younger, etc. I definitely remember reading it on squidge.org as a plain-text file, very long (30-40+k words.)

2. Much more vague: I just remember that it was set in the early 20th century in a kind of end-of-colonial era and Blair was upper-class and a bit fancy compared to Jim who had just gotten out of South America and there is some tension around this (or vice versa). There is a lot of pining, and some English ex-colony hot tropical setting; people play badminton, and they get stuck out in a cottage or bungalow where it rains a lot. Another extremely angsty ust fic that I think ends in a beach scene and a lot of yelling-at-each-other and sex.
