Slice of Life fics

My Christmas plans have been sidelined due to diverticulitis.

Because I won't be able to eat anything sweet (or barely anything at all), I'm looking for recs for your favorite sweet slice-of-life fics. Although I love slash, I'd prefer fics without a lot of graphic sex.

Oh, I'm so sorry you're sick. I hope the flare-up is short-lived.

Starwatcher writes mostly gen but she specializes in SOL and she researches her subjects well so the stories are wonderful to read. I recommended her Zucchini, Tomatoes and Corn at Crack Van and her kite-flying story is great. Here's her Dreamwidth site:

Sixteen Instinctive Behaviors by Betty Plotnick are all episode-related stories that follow Blair and Jim's developing relationship. They are pre-slash.

Doppio Con Panna by Sara is a sweet fix. Slash but I don't remember if it's particularly explicit. If it is, you can easily skip over the parts because that's not the gist of the story.

Jim's Story by Lemon Drop is a bunch of SOL vignettes that end up slash, but nothing explicit. I really like her style of writing.

There's probably a bit more sex in Tempus Fugit but it's a great story that follows the guys around for a year as they interact with each other and Naomi through a bunch of holidays.

Since it's Christmas Eve, one I like a lot is Thirteen Christmas Traditions by Resonant. Slash. It's set during their first Christmas since meeting. Jim is getting used to the unexpectedness that Blair brings into his life and is enjoying it.

She also wrote Tender, which is a post TSbBS story that she tells through exploring all the dictionary definitions of the word "tender". Jim is worried that Blair might be unhappy with his new life but, as usual, doesn't actually talk about it to Blair. First time fic and a little angsty but well done.
