Jim honoring his last mission

Aug 11, 2010 20:52

I just read TAE's In Memorium about Blair encouraging Jim to talk to the family of one of the men who died on his last mission.  They spend a few days in the man's home town, doing some early morning fishing and being accepted by the locals.

I remember reading another Memorial Day story where one of Jim old superior officers asks him to make a Memorial Day speech.  At first he says no but Blair, now officially a cop, talks him into it.  Everyone shows up in their military or police dress uniform except for Henri who's in desert camos.  Even Megan wears her Australian police formal uniform.  Jim is surprised when Steve and William show up at the outdoor venue; Blair called them and told them that Jim was speaking.

Problem is (as usual) I can't remember the title or who wrote it.  Does anyone know?

I'd also like to find the story where the team find out that Blair was a top helicopter pilot in the war.  Not the 'Sky Squirt' one where he's outed at the station, the one where Blair misses the game at Simon's because of the flu and Daryl is watching the documentary on TV for school and recognizes a short-haired Sandburg.
