I'm unfamiliar with the song. If you can describe the plot of the song, it might help in locating the fic.

Are you saying that you faintly remember a story that follows the song plot? Or are you saying you'd like to know *if* there are any stories that follow the song plot.

If you're remembering a story you've read already, which guy did the cheating? There is a Cheating Jim tag here. I don't think there's a Cheating Blair category, although I know I've read at least one where Jim suspects Blair is cheating.

I sort of remember the song so I went to the lyrics link Raine provided. So, it sounds like the guy got caught, he feels guilty, his lover leaves and then he wonders whether what he did was so bad that he deserved it. LOL. No, I don't remember anything along those lines. But you might want to try Polly Bywater's Forget Regret series. She wrote part of it for Sentinel Thursday and describes it as her "Jim Cheats" story.

She then offered a Moonridge challenge to have people write a sequel to it. I wrote it up and provide all the links for the original story and sequels on Crack Van last year:

It's also in one of the posts here as part of the Cheating Jim tag. There several other good ones to read, including Boundaries by Jane Davitt and Mab wrote a series of drabbles. If I can think of anything outside of what's already been recced, I'll get back here.
