Story request and crossover question.

 For once it is JIM who is kidnapped and in trouble.  Sort of like Cypher except it is Jim that the "Lash" character fixates on.  It is either pre-TSBS and Blair is still an observer, or post-TSBS and he doesn't join the force because he still hasn't a gun.  Blair figures out where Jim is being held, but can't get anyone at the PD to listen to him

Sorry I've not read the first one. The closest I can think of is PJ's In Deepest Consequence. Jim is captured by a psycho and Blair has figured it out but is stymied by a homophobic and really unlikable Simon.

As to the second one, there are so many shows I know nothing about, so I've got no clue about whether there are a lot of crosses or not. One cross I like is Quantum Leap, because Sam can leap in and out of people and change things without the canon people having to do the work. I've seen Sam leap into Jim, Naomi and Blair. I think leaping into some of the minor characters, like William Ellison or even Bud to prevent his getting killed. What would Jim have been like if he hadn't lost a mentor or had a father who had an epiphany and became less rigid? Or what if he leaped into Jim's mom?

There's like a jillion Stargate crosses, and most of them are pretty formula, but I wouldn't put a moratorium on them, because then you get a really interesting twisty one and I love it and would be sad if it hadn't been written.

I do think there's a limit as to how often you can cross X-Files with TS. I don't find most of the XF characters to be that interesting, except Walter and Alex. Most of the interest comes from the things they are investigating and there's only so much weird you can do!
