Moving home need fic for journey
Hey, I'm moving back home next week, back to ireland, and need some good, long fics for my e-reader for the trip, which is going to last 16hrs. So I hope you can help me find what I'm looking for, because I am having little luck finding anything that fits my criteria in the tags. So if you could do me the favour of rooting out some fics I would be eternally grateful.
Criteria:
1, Long, well written and plotted stories.
2, gen (or if there is slash that it not be about the sex or the characters getting each other into bed for sex, I am sick to death with the sex in fics at the moment)
3, Case stories, one's that revolve around solving a crime, so blair whump is liked, but please, no weepy, wimpy blairs if he does get kidnapped or otherwise injured. Blair can be working alongside anyone for these, maybe Jim got kidnapped and Blair pulls out all the stops to find him again, a new serial killer in town takes blair and the whole of major crimes goes all out to save him etc.
4, if not case stories, then one's about Blair finding his place with the detectives of major crimes, whether as a group, individually, whatever, set during his time as an observor or when he becomes a police officer I don't mind, this includes, police picnics, charity drives, helping rafe out with his reports, filling in for rhonda if she's not feeling well, chatting with megan when she starts to find all the men of the department annoying, anything at all really.
5, no death, angst, insecurities (unless the story is so good I simply must read it), pwp's or sex... (again, I can overlook the sex thing if the rest of the story is just that good, but please, spare me).
6, are there fics out there where simon is not a hard ass always on blairs case? A lot of the fics I have read depict him as not liking blair, but I figured there has to be the odd fic out there where he does like blair. Well, anyway, any non hard ass simon would be good, even if he doesn't say he likes blair can there be something where he doesn't automatically blame blair for something.
I know that's a lot to ask, and I will be patiently going through the tags again to see if there are fics I have missed, but I would appreciate any help you could give.
Oh, and a throwaway comment, are there any megan/rafe/H fics where all three are a couple, in the process of becoming a couple/threesome or are just really good friends and do stuff outside work together? I just ask, because these three have always intrigued me in fic (I have never seen all the sentinel episodes, so I'm nt really sure who megan actually is.
