Okay, I'm looking for a fic which I'm pretty sure was in this fandom - but I never got around to reading it, so I don't even have that memory to be absolutely certain.  Anyway, it was called "Two-Spirit" or something like that, and I think Blair was a Native American Indian and Jim was a soldier.  I can't remember if it was supposed to be set in

The fic you describe also sounds like a fic in the supernatural RPS fandom: Two Spirit, in which Jensen is a disgraced soldier and Jared is a Native American.

It looks like both of them are the fic(s) I was looking for - I hang out it both fandoms, so I must've got my wires crossed somewhere. Thanks for being patient; these got lost in the slew of e-mails that I've gotten in the past week.

Actually, the other fic sounds more like your description since my story is set in the present and Blair isn't a Native American in mine (though NA mysticism is heavily involved in the plot) and Jim isn't a soldier.

"Two-Spirit" is a transgendered concept in some NA cultures. I'm not surprised to see it crop up as a title of two different slash fics.
