Another request?
Haven't even had time to read the story that I last requested when another fic got stuck in my brain and I'm trying to find it.
Blair and Jim help out the government or maybe just one person in the government. They go in and do a job where no-one can get close enough to the target to get electronic bugs near enough to record crucial conversations. So Blair and Jim go in and station themselves somewhere nearby and Jim listens in and Blair transcribes as Jim recounts the conversation. The team they're marginally working with think that they have super-secret covert skills that no-one can know about and they are still amazed when Jim and Blair actually deliver in the end.
