Well, Shedoc has three gen stories at http://www.wolfpanther.com. Sentinel Con, Cascade Con, The International Law Enforcement Conference

This isn't really AU, but it is set a number of years after the series ended. Blair and Jim have left Cascade, both are cops and they are in a relationship. Jim's niece Amanda starts showing Sentinel skills.
It's Dasha's Obscure Music and it's slash. http://www.squidge.org/archive/archive/15/obscuremusic.html

You might need to read the earlier stories to fully get it but that's no hardship. I love the series

This will probably be of no help but maybe someone else can take this info and remember the exact story...

I see to recall a slash fic where Jim and Blair travel down to Peru for some reason. They end up staying with the Chopec for a while and another Sentinel/Guide pair shows up. For some reason I'm thinking that they may have been in a helicopter crash...? But I may be confusing a couple of stories there.

Later on, when I get some time, I'll see if I can find the exact story. in the meantime, good luck!

Lemon Drop wrote a story about Jim's mom which fits the bill, but probably not in the way you're expecting. It's called Finding Grace.

Josephine Darcy's story The Mountie Who Fell to Earth might scratch your itch. It's a crossover with Due South, and while it doesn't have another sentinel, there are features of the story that make it come pretty close to what you seem to be looking for.

The three stories below have a bad sentinel, but also other good sentinels. I think you'll enjoy them anyway.

Lady Ra recently put out A Gathering of Sentinels.

Annabelle Leigh's stories Tribe Sentinel and it's sequel Progeny are wonderful, and I highly recommend them.

Is it allowed toot my own horn here? I have a short one called "Pas de Deux" up at 852 that includes another Sentinel/guide pair.

I don't mind self-tooting (actually it sounds kinda hot Lol).
Thanks for the info.

Oh Pat!

I enjoyed your story very much. I always love to read a third person POV watching Jim and Blair together and this was a wonderful read!
