Author's Notes: This is a sequel/fix-it of sorts to my story Essential Truths. You don't have to have read that to understand this story, all you need to know is that Blair was shot in a police operation and Jim killed himself shortly after (happy, yes? Now you know why I wanted to fix it).
Parts of this story were inspired by the movie What Dreams May Come, as well as by the "Descend and Return with Inanna" meditation by Mevlannen Beshderen in The Pagan Book of Living and Dying, edited by Starhawk, M. Macha Nightmare, and the Reclaiming Collective.
