John 21:25, aka The Yeshua and Methos Triology
Man, this trilogy needs a better title. sophia_sol? Any thoughts?
ETA: sophia_sol came up with the awesome idea of calling it John 21:25. For those who don't know, John 21:25 (NRSV) says: But there are also many other things that Jesus did; if every one of them were written down, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Which is pretty much the perfect quote for these stories.
(Also, I have read more of the Bible in the last three weeks than I have since I was studying for my The Bible: History, Literature, and Scripture exam in first year. Go figure.)
Anyhow, sophia_sol has now written And The Stars of Heaven Shall Fall, a sequel to her Narrow Is The Way Which Leadeth Unto Life and my There Shall Come Up Briars And Thorns, officially making this a triology. As she says in her blog, we don't really think there's anywhere to go from here, so we're probably not looking at a quartet anytime soon.
Although having typed this, I am of course now tempted to write a fic about Yeshua alone and sad at the end of all things. Because apparently the poor guy hasn't suffered enough, or something.
