Delicious - Fic Offer

Dec 16, 2010 19:53

...welp. Yahoo is shutting down Delicious. Further proof that nothing on the internet is immortal? The sheer intimidation factor of importing/tagging all my bookmarks meant that I didn't have a delicious account (and I am now feeling rather greatful for that fact), but, um, anyone who did has my greatest of sympathy. *hugs you all ( Read more... )

Awww. *hugs back* You're awesome.

Fic prompt: Methos meets Festina Ramos. Or, y'know, something else about Immortals in the context of the League of Peoples universe.

I tried to write you Methos meets Festina! But then I couldn’t come up with a good scenario for them to meet. (Especially since I was quite wedded to the opening lines, “Greetings, I am a sentient citizen - ” “-of the league of peoples, yes, I know.”). So you get this instead, which DOES fulfil the request for Immortals in the League of Peoples universe:The first time the citizens of the League of Peoples come to earth with their gifts and their promises, Methos isn't fooled. A mysterious extraterrestrial species shows up and says, oh, hey there, we'd like to fix all your problems! The only condition is that you have to come with us and leave all your weapons behind. Yeah, alright. Let the gullible buggers of the world go gallivanting off into space - he was staying right here, with the devil he knew ( ... )

(also now I really want to know what happens next in both of these scenarios, because I am an ungrateful bastard.....)

*grin* Glad you liked them! And, er, that would require me knowing what happens next. (Well. Actually. I sort of know what happens next for that first one. Three words: Spark Lord Methos.)

*clings* *hopes diigo is as good to me as del.ici.ous was*

Um. AtLA, Jeong Jeong/Pakku/Piandao. Kissing is a good way to shut someone up.

*hugs* with luck, diigo will turn out to be the refuge people are hopeing for! Personally, I've got my fingers crossed for either AO3 or Google to step up to the plate - I trust both AO3 and Google, but diigo is an unknown factor.

Okay, so it's been a LONG time since I watched AtLA, and this is quite different from anything I’ve ever written before, so... I hope it works for you!Piandao is feeling the pressing need to go work on some nice, soothing calligraphy, or do a bit of vigorous swordplay. Or possibly demand that Jeong Jeong fucks him until his brains melt out his ears. He’s normally more than content to let their sex life be rules by Jeong Jeong’s needs, which seems to be rather more voracious than his own, but he’s desperate for anything to help him drag his frazzled mind back into some semblance of calm. "Of all the prisoners in the world to send to us... Do you think this is the Fire Lord's way of trying to hint that you need to be a bit less outspoken?" he asks, raising his voice to be heard over the noise ( ... )

Mweeee! *cuddles up to the ficlet and snuzzles it* I like! I like very much. Oh, Azulon. <3 Oh, Jeong Jeong. Water Tribesmen are delicious. So is Piandao.

Bummer. And I'd just gotten myself psyched up to start putting more of my bookmarks up over there....guess that's a bit of self-motivation gone to waste :-(

As for a prompt, could we see a timestamp for "Bigger on the Inside", where the Doctor takes Elizabeth back 10,000-ish years, and she gets to ask her question? Or maybe where John is flying the TARDIS and the Doctor is wishing for a seatbelt?

Dang. I've got to figure out something, I guess - I don't know what I'd do if I lost my (1000+) bookmarks!

Hm, fic-wise, if you're up for it, maybe a little holiday scene from the Pie Hole?
