(no subject)
hi all. this past wednesday i was up in chicago for my internship for training. i will be going to training in chicago on monday and wednesday next week, i'm trying to figure out some way to stay with shannon or at least see her, and i think that lauren would like to go up with me for those couple days as well?? that would be good
hmm. so summer has started. i haven't done much while i've been home, i've had a few little errands to run. mostly i'm home doing things around the house because my mom fell and broke her wrist so now she can't cook clean etc., and melissa and dad either are busy or just don't do anything. still, it's not too bad. i've seen lots of friends for just a little while. the most time i've spent with tyler, though i did hang out with lauren a few nights, and with brian at his graduation party & another night. i saw heather & dandan & jami, but only for a few minutes. i need to squeeze in a little more time with everyone, especially my sisters and little Brayden, before i leave for my all-consuming internship.
speaking of my internship, i am starting that formally on june 1st, if anyone cares. 40 hours a week unpaid work at the federal probation office in rockford. my aunt and uncle are being very generous though and giving me some cash so i won't be broke this summer. write me lots of emails & stuff cause i'll mostly be in rockford all summer, & i know not a single soul there besides my aunt and uncle. i have a feeling i'll be doing a lot of reading, crocheting, gardening, and cooking in my free time. which is all nice & such, but just not what i would love to be doing with my free time this summer.
so since i've been home i've been trying to keep up with my healthy eating and exercising and all that jazz. it's sort of difficult because when i meet up with people we always end up eating at a restaurant, which isn't good for my wallet either. today i did pretty well though, as i did lots of cleaning around the house, then walked over 3 miles with tyler & kept myself away from any little sweets.
hmm. i'm running out of little updates on this past week. i saw some movies, the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, national treasure, and then lots and lots of music dvd stuff - cure depeche mode david bowie. ooh, i found a pretty good david bowie record at the yard sales last weekend for $0.50. about the only good buy there was though.
