I know that you and I are, to say the least, not the closest of friends but I'm sorry to hear what you are going through. Despite her reasons, no ex-girlfriend ever has the right to talk so poorly about her ex after such a long period of time. (there is, of course, the agreed upon amount of time where a girl can bitch about her ex immediately after the breakup itself... but still, you get my point)

Retail is a harsh gig, I cannot even imagine how much pressure working on commission must be. But if it is any consolation, I don't think you are regressing in maturity or stature.

I think the fact that you and I are actually communicating civilly again after so long shows just how much you, and all of us, have matured in this year away from high school.

It's nothing to be ashamed of to start soul searching after something on facebook though. Facebook is a great forum for communication, you can't help what happens on there but rather must accept the fact that wall posts and photo updates are part of our lives and friendships now.

You are a great person Brian, and you shouldn't let some stupid girl's gossip hurt you so badly. I know you and I are not too close, but I hope you know that if you ever need anything, or someone to talk to I'm only a phone call away.

Let me know if you want to get a group together at Beth's and we can all just hang out and chill like Jerry Seinfeld....
