WoD drabble post and Christmas wishes

So I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. It's still Christmas Eve over here, three hours from actual Christmas Day but I'm sure somebody out there is already celebrating in a different timezone^^

Ok, onto other things. I'm currently working on my kakasaku exchange fic so there haven't been many posts lately. It's driving me up a wall because

HEEHEE, I'm so glad you liked it^^ I actually forgot that it was Madara's birthday. Was looking for a character who fit the word 'narcissism' and suddenly he popped into my head. It was a little weird since my first instinct was to write Sakura but I guess Madara was working his bday mojo on me.

Yeah I see Madara keeping Itachi and Pein in his grasp in exactly this way as well. Pein is a man who fights his conscience and convinces himself he is doing right. Itachi, for me, knows he is doing wrong but he never quite comes to terms with that part of himself.

Madara's true villany, I think, is not so much his deeds but the fact that he has no delusions or remorse over his deeds. It makes him strong where others are weak. For Pein, take away his belief in his own divinity and he'll collapse to his conscience. For Itachi, the burden of chosing village over clan basically eroded him. Even without the disease, I think he wanted to die but just hung on for Sasuke. Those are both weapons Madara could use against them.

I actually really like Madara's character. He's like Pein; he intrigues me b/c I don't know much about him. There is such a sense of anguish in him. He's the type of man who wants to watch the world burn and mind-fuck everybody into submission. It's kinda sexy.
