For some reason, someone gave me a cooler of what they claimed were frozen kittens. I guess their cat had kittens, but they all died and the person knew I liked dead things? I don't know. But upon opening said cooler, the kittens looked more like small versions of collies. I shrugged it off and then went to a picnic. Toward the end of the picnic I realized shit they're probably thawing out. I opened the cooler to find a puddle of water with the "kittens" bag sitting in it. I opened the back to check if the fur was starting to slip, and to my shock the kitten I picked up started breathing and opening its eyes.
I got up early today and Uncle Art drove me over to the vets so I could help with Cinder. I was there for about an hour and a half. Much of it was just sitting with him while Dr. Major checked on her other patients for the morning, and then again later trying to get him to eat something. They were unable to get blood from him last night, because he was just a little too dehydrated. So I helped hold him down and they were able to get enough blood to send out for chem. We offered him water and he was very happy to drink, so that's good. But he still didn't want to eat despite being offered three different kinds of food. I sat with him in in cage for quite awhile trying to tempt him. He was still really groggy from being sedated last night, and so was really wobbly on his feet. It also didn't help his balance much that they had him on an IV, so his left front leg probably felt like it was asleep judging by the way he was flopping it around when he tried to walk. He eventually managed to get himself into the litter box to..lay down for a nap. So at that point I put the cone back on him to make sure he didn't pull anything out and headed home. Dr. major said that she put him in for boarding, rather than hospitalization, to help keep the cost down for us, which was really sweet of her.
Also saw Mum's cat Lucky while I was there, and he talked up a storm. As did the duckling in the cage next to him. Also got stared down by the Duffy's cats, which are there while the Duffy's are on vacation. Which I think is kinda crappy. Two cats in a fairly small cage for two weeks. :C
Once I got home I took a nice nap while listening to the thunder storm.
Then my day just turned crappy, because I got an e-mail from Fabric.com. It's taken them a week to tel me that they don't have one of the furs I ordered. THE ONE FUR I REALLY WANTED. They said I can either select another fur, or they can just remove it from the order and refund me for that portion. This is the second time they have run out of a fur I ordered and waited a week+ to tell me, the first time being with the fur for Oki. I told them to cancel my whole order. If you people can't have a simple code on your site to subtract inventory as people put yardage in their carts, so things like this don't happen, you don't deserve my money. I was really looking forward to getting that particular fur, because it was beautiful and would have been great for specific parts of hell leopard. I'm super bummed.
But on the bright side, that means I have 70 bucks back that I didn't have before. Which I will probably use to get my nipples pierced. Even though there are better things I SHOULD spend it on. >_> *irresponsible*
Possibly going to the car show today, if they don't cancel it due to the rain. Other than that, no plans for today, so it's pretty boring. :C
