Aug 03, 2006 09:30

Thursday morning once again found Phoebe back at Selkie Cove. She had gathered quite the nice pile of shells and other things and placed them on the beach. Archie and Veronica had come to see her last night... as had Walter and Pippi and then much later, LanaIt was hot again, today, but she wasn't really feeling too much as she was spending a lot ( Read more... )

Piper wandered down to Selkie Cove in search of her sister. This time, she would try not to get upset.

"Phoebe!" she called, hoping she would show up.

Phoebe did indeed show up, but this time she didn't come up on the sand. She was staying in the water as much as she could. "Hi Piper."

Piper wasn't happy about Phoebe keeping her distance, but at least she didn't swim away. Yet. "How are you?"

Phoebe ducked her head for a moment, trying to find the words. "I found a lot of stuff on the floor of the ocean. Did you know there's an old shipwreck out there?"

"No, I didn't know that. Sounds kind of cool, though," Piper said. Maybe if she kept Phoebe talking, she'd stick around.

Smart woman, her sister.

"Yes!" Phoebe nodded excitedly. "There are all sorts of things to explore out there. I found the ship when the sea called me out further than I had been before."

"What kind of ship is it?" Piper asked, trying not to think about her sister being called further out to sea.

Phoebe splashed in the water. "It's really old-looking and I wonder if it could be a pirate ship? I was able to swim through it with no problem. Oh! And Barbossa gave me rum and asked me if I had drowned anybody at the bottom of the ocean yet. He told me that he had left his itemized list at the studio, but that Fandom could use some weeding out of the stupid people."

No, it didn't seem odd to her to be discussing drowning people. She probably would never do it... unless they were hurting one of the innocent ocean denizens...

"Phoebe, no drowning people, okay," Piper said seriously. Then she thought about asking if there was any rum left.

"Piper? Do you want to share some rum with me?"

Piper was seriously considering this. "Maybe later? It's kind of too early for that, I think."

Phoebe looked up at the sky and then nodded. "Okay." Then she looked at Piper. "Aren't you hot?"

"I'm fine," Piper said with a shrug. Of course, it was so hot, she felt like she was going to melt.

Phoebe looked slightly hopeful. "You could come swim with me?"

Piper eyed the water warily. "I don't know, Pheebs."

"We don't have to go out far... and I'll be at your side. You don't have to get your head wet."
