Aug 02, 2006 08:32

Phoebe had swam around the island from Selkie Cove sometime during the night while she had been focused on her surroundings. She had met many different types of ocean creatures and had seen a lot of pretty shells and things off the coast of the island. Upon swimming further out, she had come across what looked to be an old shipwreck and had plans ( Read more... )

Piper really had to do something about the spell her sister cast, so she stopped by Selkie Cove looking for her. When she didn't find her there, she tried Galactica Point.

"Hey Pheebs," she said calmly even though seeing her sister as a mermaid was somewhat of a shock.

Phoebe rolled with the surf and waved happily to her sister, coming closewr to the shore.

"Hi Piper."

"Are you okay, I mean, besides being a mermaid?" Piper shook her head. Only in Fandom would she ask a question like that.

Phoebe beamed and bobbed in the water.

"I'm more than okay, Piper, I'm great. I love the ocean."

Piper gave her a small smile. "I'm glad you're having a good time, but don't you think it's time we fix this? You can't stay in there forever."

"Why not?" She looked perplexed. "And the spell doesn't work. I tried last night."

"What do you mean it doesn't work?" Piper asked, frowning.

"Cole came down to Selkie Cove last night and wanted me to think up a new spell to reverse what happened. So, I thought up a reversal spell and tried to change back, but it didn't work."

She didn't seem upset that the spell didn't work.

"Probably because you're not a witch right now. Let me try?" Piper said, noticing Phoebe didn't seem upset. That made her even more worried.

"I don't see what the big deal is."

Phoebe seemed reluctant, but she finally recited the spell she had tried to cast.

"What I did in haste let be undone
Shield the thoughts again of one
Give my legs back to me
Take me back out of the sea"

She shook her head.

Piper just stared at Phoebe. "You wanting to stay in the ocean is a big deal, Phoebe! Also, you have a tail. This is not normal!"

She sighed and began reciting the spell, changing a few words. Then she waited, hoping it worked.

Phoebe's tail splashed in the water.

"Maybe it's meant to be and who decides what is normal, anyway?"

Piper blinked. That was supposed to work. "Phoebe, this is not meant to be. You're meant to be a witch...to help innocents."

"The creatures that live in the oceans are innocents and they need protection, too. Maybe that's why the spells won't work."

Piper had a feeling the spell didn't work because Phoebe can't resist the freedom of the ocean. "Phoebe, you have to fight this. You cannot stay a mermaid for the rest of your life."

"But I'm safe and happy here, Piper," Phoebe said logically as she swam backwards a few inches. "There are no secrets here and the creatures like me."
