Merry-go-round: It now has a name! It is officially Blinky-go-round. I put it in to the the art placement people at Burning Man. I asked for help from the DPW requesting that they trench 500' from the village generator out to it. Seems like that should not be a problem. Even better I just got an Email from LadyBee saying that it looked really nice! The legs are now reinforced. What I had hoped to be a one day project turned in to three long days. Big thanks to
frobzwiththingz! Still need to look at packing some of it up and making the data bits a bit more electrically hardened against voltage dips.
michigansundog has joined
clara_girl in writing shows for it. Hopefully we will have some interesting shows made by the time it gets to the playa. I have had no time to even begin looking at that aspect of the project. The truck loads in 2 weeks!
Shoulder: Slow and steady... or I guess that is fast and steady, but when is recovery ever fast enough. Strength is ok now, and will follow in time. Recovery now is all about range of motion. My physical therapist rocks. He is able to look at my progress and what is happening and tailor sessions to give maximum benefit. I had a week or so where I thought we were at a standstill and he saw the same thing and immediately changed what we were doing. Turns out my shoulder was protecting itself by not sitting fully in the socket in certain positions. He's been working with holding it in place while i move the joint to teach the body the proper motion. It works really well. What was painful stretches to get another 2% range became almost effortless increases of 10-20%. I am getting optimistic about achieving full recovery in another couple of months!
