Some News Is Good News...
So, the doctor's office called me Friday. My visual test is A-OK, which rules out some of the nastier possibilities. They didn't tell me if the antibodies for Devic's were checked, but the visual test makes it much less likely to be an issue.
For now, looks like the diagnosis is Idiopathic Transverse Myelitis. Per my neurologist's recommendation, I'll be calling to set up physical therapy. We'll see if that helps; myelitis by itself is kind of tricky.
And I just wanted to take a minute to say "thank you" to all the people who've expressed their concern and well-wishes over the course of all this. I've felt incredibly self-centered being so obsessed with my own health for the past couple months, and knowing that my friends care has helped keep me sane. I hope that being off the diagnostic roller-coaster (for now, anyway) will chill me the hell out, and make me a little more tolerable.
