smokin' my inspir...ation!
I just watched a good portion of Bullet in a Bible. I'm up to Hitchin A Ride. I haven't watched it in a long time... I don't know what made me do it. It was just sittin there on the floor with the rest of my junk and I was looking for something to do and so I popped it in... I forgot how pumped it gets me. I'm watching it and just getting inspired every second. It's like "I wanna do that!". I have the CD's burned with the covers I wanna do, I just have to give them to D and Gary and then we'll see how Gary does and we're 3/4's of the way there! I'm hoping Gary is into what we're playing and as cool in person as he seems on the phone and hopefully he's as good on the bass as i've heard. If any of those things don't match up then we're still a duo...lol. Hey, white stripes covers!
I've written like 4 songs in the past week... well no, I've written 2 guitar parts and 2 sets of lyrics neither of which match to one another so that means I have to complete them before I can call them songs... Still, it's good progress especially since I've been out of the loop for so long.
I've been channelling a lot of positive musical energy lately and that's always a good thing.
I really want to play right now but it's "late"... Granted, no one's home cuz my parents had a gig tonight but i'm just paranoid that the neighbors will complain. I don't even know if they can hear me but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I should have gone to my parents gig tonight, then I could have played some beatles with their band...eh...I thought I'd have more to do tonight...technically I got a lot done though, I practiced a bit and then I went to the mall and bought a memory foam pillow cuz i've been having a lot of back and neck soreness lately and I think it's due to the couch pillow I use as a bed pillow...yeah, MIGHT have something to do with it...
I also got a new pair of creepers...correction, I ordered a new pair of creepers cuz all the shoe stores in the mall seem to think that 12 is not a shoe size... so my new shoes should be here in a week or so. that'll be nice...I'm like a woman when it comes to shoes...I currently own: solid black converse all stars in low and high top, Green and Black Converse all stars, Tuk Creepers with black and white skull print, 2 pairs of ninja boots and I'm soon to have a pair of black Tuk Creepers with white checker boarder along the toe... Eh, I like variety. Sue me. Then I came home played guitar again, wrote a new tune but then I forgot the rhythm so I'm just bangin at the chords trying to remember what it was, as long as I remember the chords I'll figure out what the rhythm was. I began watching bullet in a bible and was about to go to bed when it hit me that I wanted to update this bad boy. And drone on about nothing apparently.
D, hope the gig went well tonight and I hope we can get together for some jammin tomorrow cuz I wanna give you your CD's. I'm also gonna call Gary tomorrow afternoon, I'd like to set up a practice with him this wednesday at like 6 or 7 let me know if you can do that, if not we'll reschedule. cool.
So I FINALLY bought a car...sort of...I need to pay my parents back for the loan but I got it cheap which is awesome, $500. it's Kat's mom's 91 buick. it's a good car, power everything, pretty fast, white(blech!), I call it my Millennium Falcon, "She may not look like much but she's got it where it counts!", I needed something dependable and this car is that and more so i'm happy.
I got my Marshall 1/2 stack cab and head unit(that sounds so dirty). It's awesome and loud, D and I jammed a bit to break it in and it cut through amazingly and it looks so professional and I can now play out anywhere and not have to worry about being heard so that's good.
I finally got a haircut as well... I always say I want to grow it out but then I realize that my hair is too thick and heavy to actually do anything with and it just droops in my face and gets annoying so I cut it off...My mom finally got the short hair to look right on me too cuz I was finally able to properly articulate exactly how I wanted it to look and even though it came out shorter than I expected, it looks real good so I'm happy.
I'm gonna be 21 this year... I just realized that today, I know April is a ways a way but i'm still pretty excited, It'll be nice to choose a bar and just go in, have a drink and listen to some tunes without worrying if i'm not gonna be able to get in due to my age. it's like total freedom. nice.
Ong Bak the Thai warrior is one of the greatest martial arts movies ever btw... I suggest you see it. The dubbed version has terrible voice acting but the movie itself is an action comedy so it just kind of makes it that much funnier... I watched it for the 3rd time ever today and I love it! I wanna get more movies with bad dubbing and awesome fighting. They make me realize that no matter what you do in life, someone, somewhere will find it interesting and will give it a chance and that's a good feeling. especially for those of us who are into the arts and are losing hope on our direction.
I think i've gone on enough, I want to sleep now. Goodnight!
