Bed-time lovey dog smooshes are just because, if you were a dog, wouldn't you want to go to sleep knowing you're a good dog?
wouldn't we all be better people if we had someone at the end of the day give us a hug, or a snuggle or a back scratch or a oral sex or... (insert your favorite physical act of comfort here) and say "thanks for being a good person today. I love you and I'm glad you're here" (well, in the case of the oral sex, it could just be the really affirming pillow talk afterwards.)
I've got a man I'm marrying in 2 weeks exactly.
