Our building is situated on an alley.
in the morning, we leave out of the back door and take the dog out to do her thing...
usually she chooses to do said thing in the gravel lot (technically a parking lot, but no one ever parks there) behind the apartments across the alley from us. Being the conscientious pet owner that I am I always pick up anything she leaves behind.
hell, I often pick up poop from other dogs besides her if I notice it.
this morning, at about 7, I roll out of bed to dog whining, so I took her out. She is squatting to poop, and all of a sudden I hear a man clear his voice and a sort of tentative "good morning" from the balcony directly over me... Turns out it's a tenant (and more than likely building manager) from across the way. he is giving me a hard time about letting my dog poop there.
...I WAS ALREADY CROUCHING WITH A POOP BAG IN MY HAND!
and this guy is bitching about how this gravel lot "Isn't a dog park" I suggested that some of the poop may have been from raccoons, or the lone coyote I saw scrounging in the neighboring building's dumpster after a garbage bag containing clam and oyster shells was ripped open all over the ground. He looked at me like I was nuts...
...am I totally out of line here?
